How are C.E.B.s manufactured these days?
Expert Interview with
Ryan Runge,
Advanced Earthen Construction Technologies (A.E.C.T.)
A force of 1,000 to 2,200 PSI is required to produce CEBs. This force is achieved by using hydraulics or a manual mechanism that utilizes leverage. CEB machines range from manual types that facilitate producing one small block every few minutes…to automatic hydraulic versions that can produce 480 blocks per hour.
Does this system allow for “on site” production?
Yes. AECT (Advanced Earthen Construction Technologies) manufactures, sells, and supports fast, efficient, long-lasting, mobile CEB machines all over the globe. Aside from being hydraulically driven and automated, AECT compressed earth block machines are trailer mounted, so they can easily be towed and set up at any build site.
